IxiJob helps you analyse job offers and tailor your CV to them. Doing that means handling personal data about you, including your professional history. This document explains what is collected, what it is used for, who it is shared with, and how to exercise your rights.

The data controller is Luis Cieza, an individual based in Peru, reachable at luis.cieza.silva@gmail.com.

What is collected

What you enter into the application, plus technical usage data:

  • Account data: your email address. If you sign in with Google, also your name and profile picture, as shared by Google at sign-in.
  • Professional profile: name, headline, email, phone, location, links (LinkedIn, portfolio), summary, work experience, education, skills with their levels, and projects.
  • Job offers: the offer text you paste and the analysis generated from it.
  • Profile coaching: the skill-level adjustments the conversation produces. The outcome is stored, not the chat transcript.
  • Exports: a history of the tailored CVs you generate, so the same work is not repeated.
  • Subscription: the plan assigned to your account. Nothing is charged today, so there are no payment details of any kind.
  • Usage: in production the application uses Vercel Analytics, which collects aggregate browsing data (pages visited, device type, approximate country).

Cookies

IxiJob uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language and theme preferences. No cookies are used for advertising.

Your CV file is not stored

When you upload a CV, the file is read in memory to extract its contents and is never stored. What is kept is the structured information extracted from it — experience, skills, education — which you can review and edit in your profile.

What it is used for

  • Extracting your CV and populating your profile with it.
  • Analysing the offers you paste and scoring your fit against them.
  • Rewriting your CV for a specific offer and generating the PDF.
  • Running the profile coaching conversation and recalculating your score.
  • Managing your account and your subscription.

Who it is shared with

IxiJob does not sell your data or share it for advertising. It relies on these providers:

  • Supabase — database and authentication. This is where your profile lives.
  • Google (Gemini API) — processes your CV content, offer text, and profile coaching messages. This is the point at which your data leaves for a third party to analyse.
  • No payment processor, because nothing is charged today. When IxiJob starts charging, the provider will be named here before the first charge, and card details will be entered directly with it: IxiJob will not receive or store them.
  • Vercel — application hosting and usage analytics.
  • Sentry — technical error logging. It receives what failed and where, and the failure code. IxiJob does not deliberately send it the contents of your CV or your conversations.
  • PostHog — funnel analytics, with servers in the United States. It counts specific steps (creating the account, saving an analysis, closing a coaching session, downloading a CV) using an anonymous identifier kept in your browser, not in a cookie. It does not record the screen or your clicks, and it does not log what you type.

About AI processing

Your CV content, the text of the offers you analyse, and your profile coaching messages are sent to the Google Gemini API for processing. That is the point at which your data leaves for a third party, and it is worth knowing before you upload a CV.

IxiJob uses Gemini’s paid service, not the free one, and that is exactly the difference. Under Google’s terms, on paid services Google does not use your prompts or responses to improve its products, there is no human review for that purpose, and logs are kept only for a limited period to detect abuse and meet legal obligations. On the free service the opposite holds: Google uses submitted content to improve and develop its products, and human reviewers may read it.

Since what IxiJob sends is whole CVs and conversations about your career, that difference is the reason for paying for the service rather than a technical preference. That the key is still on the paid plan is checked automatically and regularly against the API itself, because it is the kind of promise that would break silently.

How long it is kept

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.

If you delete your account, everything associated with it is deleted. The only thing left is the service’s own accounting: for each call made to the AI, the model, the token count, what it cost and the date, with nothing linking it to you or to what you wrote. It is kept because it is money already paid, and without that record the service’s books would stop adding up.

Your rights

Under Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law (Ley N.º 29733) you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection over your data.

Within the app itself you can view and edit your profile at any time, and delete any applications you have saved.

For any other request about your data, write to luis.cieza.silva@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually.

Security

The application requires you to sign in to reach your data, and queries are scoped to the records associated with your account. The connection to the application is encrypted.

No system is infallible. If you find a security problem, please write to the contact address before disclosing it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date in the header will be updated. IxiJob is under active development, so it is worth checking back occasionally.
